Things to prepare
●1 matcha stick (2g)
●100ml milk
●Heat-resistant cup
●Milk former
●Measuring cup
●Espresso cup (4oz)
Step 1:
Place 100ml of milk in a heat-resistant cup and warm in the microwave for 1min - 1min 30 sec.
While the milk is warming up, place one 2g matcha stick into a measuring cup.
Step 2:
Add just 20 ml of warm milk to the measuring cup containing the matcha.
Leave the milk left over from step 3 in the heat-resistance cup and froth it moderately with a milk former.
Step 3:
Mix the matcha and milk from the measuring cup in step 3 using a milk former until no lumps remain.
If you wish to add sweetness, add the syrup of your choice at this time.
Step 4:
Pour the matcha made in step 5 into an espresso cup(or small cup if not available) first.
Then, slowly pour in the remaining frothy milk and you have a RICH HOT MATCHA LATTE!
Key points:
1) Shift the matcha through a tea strainer to avoid lumps and make it smoother to the palate.
2)Use a syrup that is as natural and low in viscosity as possible. Sugarcane syrup is recommended.
