    We value the good old things and stuff of Japan and want to convey the culture of tea to the world. For that purpose, it is important to visit the makers and producers on a regular basis and listen to the voices of the manufacturing site.

     

    Our shop proposes for export uses the matcha green tea powder of tea farmers as our partner who are pesticide-free and organically cultivated in Kagoshima prefecture.

     

    Instead of pesticides, a large machine is used to vigorously apply water and air to the tea leaves and stems to exterminate insects. If they do too much, it will be killed insects that eat pests (beneficial insects), so it is important to balance them.

     

    They are also particular about fertilizers, and they make their own organic compost by mixing rapeseed residue, compost, and tea leaves residue. By conducting a soil analysis every year, they analyze the necessary nutrients and adjust the amount of fertilizer, and by not giving excessive fertilizer, they protect the soil and groundwater pollution and consider the environment.

     

    The matcha factory has multiple machines that grind green tea into small pieces, and uses ball mills and jet mills to change the particle size and grain shape. This prevents discoloration and makes it possible to produce high-quality dark green matcha.


    The matcha made by the above pesticide-free manufacturing method has cleared the organic approvals all over the world. JAS, which is the organic standard of Japan, has cleared the top class standard, and the sameness is recognized in the organic certification of USDA in the United States and EU organic standard.

    1.What is the difference between Matcha and green tea powder?

     Matcha is the powdered Tencha tea *1. It is ground in a stone mill. Green tea powder is the powdered green tea.

     *1 Tencha tea is like Gyokuro (high quality green tea). Tencha is shaded before harvest. And after steaming, dry in Tencha-ro(a special furnace for Tencha). It has rich in umani by preventing direct sunlight. The umami of Matcha is a very important in evaluation standard.

     Matcha has some health benefits. It is as a form of powder which is able to ingest the whole tea leaves. When you drink it, you can take in all benefits from the boost beverage.
